Durban is a place of historical architecture. It is situated on the east coast of South Africa. This building is the most well known building in the metropolis. This building was the most imposing building of this place for over a period of 100 years after it was constructed. Although from an outer point of view, it looks like one building but interestingly there are actually three in number, namely:
i) The Municipal chambers;
ii) The Art gallery, Museum and Library;
iii) The main Auditorium.

B: The Umgeni river bird park
The Umgeni river bird park is located at about ten minutes away from the heart of the city. Nature lover’s who get flights to Durban, usually come here to spend a day at its spectacular waterfalls, green lush vegetation, walk through aviaries, open paddocks, and the Baby room, where chicks are reared. The birds that frequent this park are:-
i) The Wattled Crane
ii) The Cape Vulture
iii) Macaw’s
iv) Hornbills; and
v) Kookaburras, etc,.
The main attraction of this place is the free flight bird show, which is honoured on a daily basis at 11am and 2pm respectively. The show is carried out in an open air auditorium, in which the birds have an unrestricted flight.
